Get Out - Stay Out - Fire Evacuation Procedures Training

GET OUT - STAY OUT is one of the most popular training programmes that we have produced. We produced the original Get Out - Stay Out in 1990 and has been regularly updated to reflect current fire legislation in the UK. GET OUT - STAY OUT is a dedicated fire evacuation programme and offers comprehensive instruction on the procedures that must be followed if a fire breaks out. Get Out - Stay Out includes information to help ensure that everyone is aware what they must do if they discover a fire or if the fire alarm activates.

When updating the programme we decided to give the user/trainer a more adaptable product and therefore the disc contains 4 different versions of the programme. This is to avoid trainers having to say 'don't pay any attention to that bit because we don't do that here'. So, the different versions are based around the type of fire alarm system that may be installed.

Version 1 - All Fire Alarm Systems (Duration - 15 minutes)
This is a 'catch all' programme which covers all types of fire alarm systems. This version is ideal for the consultant/trainer where the audience may come from a variety of locations with different fire alarm systems. It includes information about single stage and two stage alarm systems and how personnel should react to the different fire alarm signals that they may hear.

Version 2 - Single Stage Fire Alarms (Duration - 13 minutes)
This version has been produced for environments where a single stage alarm system is installed and how everyone must react to the constant fire alarm signal. To avoid confusion this version does not mention two stage alarms.

Version 3 - Two Stage Fire Alarms (Duration - 14 minutes)
This version has been produced for premises where a two stage alarm is installed, this programme covers the fundamentals of phased evacuation and how people should react if they hear an intermittent or constant alarm signal. Again, to avoid unnecessary confusion single stage alarms are not mentioned.

Version 4 - All Fire Alarm Systems (Short edition - Duration - 7 minutes)
This is a bare bones version of the 'catch all' Version 1. It's ideal for training where a shorter programme is required due to time limitations.

As with all previous versions of this programme, the key training message is about evacuating in a fire or similar emergency. The topics covered include;
Fire Risk Assessments/Fire Legislation - Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
Raising the Alarm.
Calling the Fire Service.
Evacuating.
Fire Wardens & their duties.
